Here we go!!

The New railway station (Umeå Östra) and a new residential area besides the Umea River

This is part of my beautiful city Umeå. I took this picture from a bicycle flyover, overlooking this roundabout. Straight ahead is the new railway station (Umeå Östra) and behind it to the right are new residential buildings besides the majestic Umeå river. I really like to present the pictures in stills like this one. But it's going to take a lot of time and space to present thousands of pictures. That's why I'm opting for slides in video format like the one below. That way, I can present many more pictures in one video. The only draw back is that the video has to be compressed, thereby comprising the picture quality. Remember the pictures are taken by an amateur using an amateur camera. But I'm going to provide links here to more professional pictures of Umeå taken by professionals.
   What I'm going to do here is to present the city Umeå neighborhood by neighborhood, block by block and street by street. I'm not going to hurry. I've got the time and the passion. I love the place. It's a small but beautiful city. Beautiful from top to bottom. Please enjoy and remember to come back later. Better pictures are still to come.
